The Association of Brazilian Credit Card and Services Companies (ABECS) carried out a systematic study of the third quarter of 2018. Through it, consumption habits and movements of this type of service were analyzed.
This analysis showed that if, on the one hand, the consumer benefits from the possibilities of credit, on the other hand, establishments celebrate the drop in delinquency. This is because the person who assumes the risk and makes the charges is the card operator.
The use of money as a digital currency is the main contribution of credit card brands to encourage the economy. After some time dominating the market, the Visa and MasterCard brands gained competition and reinforcement at the same time.
